Who is Cheryl Furjanic?

Thanks for asking!
I’m a media maker and lover of all things television.
I’m here to help broadcast television producers build and maintain committed TV audiences using LTR-TV.
Currently I’m working on the team responsible for developing and writing The Caprican – a story-driven website to support the Syfy original series Caprica. Additional work includes consulting on fan strategy initiatives for the Syfy original series Eureka.
As a trained as a filmmaker, I have over a decade’s worth of experience in the independent film community as a director and producer. My firsthand experience in creating strategic communities during film production, marketing and distribution has laid the groundwork for much of my work on LTR-TV. These days I continue to make films, teach filmmaking, and continue to research television and new media.
I received my BFA in Film & Television Production from NYU’s Department of Film & TV and my Masters degree in Interactive Telecommunications from ITP at NYU. My research at ITP focused on television, fan engagement, fan communities, and new ways of telling TV stories. I recently finished post-graduate coursework at NYU-SCPS and, in February 2010, earned my Certificate in Nielsen Audience Measurement.
I’m a proud subscriber of both Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide.
Oh, and did I mention I love television?
